Validating a license

This section will guide you through the process of validating a license in an CxLink Backup Agent.

Online Validation​

Follow these steps to validate a license installed on agent:

  1. Start emory-settings tool by launching the CxLink Backup configuration tool as SAP Database Administrator user.

  2. Select License Software from Main Menu to initiate the license setup.

  3. Select [Online] Check license

    Reset license (delete license files and recreate client UUID)

    Check CxLink Backup license

  4. If the validation is correct, a successfull message will be displayed.

    License is valid.

Offline Registration​

Follow these steps to generate a request file to obtain a valid license from the console:

  1. Start emory-settings tool by launching the CxLink Backup configuration tool as SAP Database Administrator user.

  4. If the validation is successfull, a message will be displayed with the expiration date.
